Omega Immune

Omega-3 has several beneficial effects on the immune system which can help protect the individuals from illness, as well as be a useful treatment in autoimmune conditions where the immune system becomes abnormally active against the body’s own tissues.

The impact of Omega-3 on multiple sclerosis has been the subject of a number of research projects.

  • The Norvik study showed a 24% improvement in symptoms in newly diagnosed patients who had improved their AA/EPA ratio from an average of 6 to 1.5. Acta Neurol Scand. 2000 Sep;102(3):143-9

There have been several studies which suggest that the correct balance of Omega-3 to Omega-6 reduces the risk of cancer, particularly breast and colon cancer.
